For The Rest Of My Life
Theme Of New Novel Coincides With Bank Buyouts
Was it good luck or business savvy that caused the coincidence of Susan Marmos novel For The Rest Of My Life to be released by Linden Hill Publishing the week bank collapses and takeovers topped the news? The main character of the book, Charlie Watson, a rising bank executive, is sent to Edinburgh to oversee the new acquisition there. The feisty, down-to-earth American suddenly finds herself not only in the midst of Scottish aristocracy and tradition but also in a romance.
Editor David Buser said, We kept urging Susan to keep the focus on the corporate intrigue. Susan is not only business savvy but also very perceptive and she might have been able to see the banking collapse coming. With her degree in business and marketing from Salisbury University, she had no trouble blending the business adventure with the romance, right up to the dramatic courtroom scene.
Note from a reader:
Susan, I purchased your book last weekend at the signing, had the delicious fudge and then the ice cream. What a great start before I even started the book. Although I had a busy week and worked late each night, I couldn't put down the book for two nights until I finished it. I was totally captivated and was wishing I could be Charlie for one weekend in Italy, Greece or Edinburgh.
I am so glad I met you and want to know if you are working on another book. Your restless leg syndrome and creativity are a great match. Thanks for sharing your creativity with us.

about the play "Like life, the play is both
tragedy and comedy." "What an opportunity for any
actress! Rock on!" "My wife went with 'the girls'
to see it at the Globe Theatre, then she insisted I go back with
her the next weekend. She was right. I was amazed that this was
no 'chick-flick' play." "Every man has a mistress whose
name is Nostalgia." "I had no idea where it was
going. I was amazed by what happened to Eliza at the end." |
